Philips came out with a new flat LED lamp. Many of the reviews I have read mentioned ambiguously that the new flat shape eliminates the need for a heat-sink. I’m curious to find out more about how they did this, of course it is good news if the giant manufacturer is able to use less metals in the replacement lamp products.
